As a filmmaker, you’d think my own videos would be the ones I treasure the most. Truth is, they’re not.
Don’t get me wrong — I’ve shot beautiful projects. The performances, the visuals, the edits — they’re all sharp. But when I look back at my own life, I realize the moments that matter most weren’t always caught on camera.
They didn’t capture the deep talks I had with my mom and grandma about life and how to keep pushing forward after losing people close to me. They didn’t capture the way my boys and I used to laugh, grind, and dream in our little studio before any of this felt real. They didn’t capture the heart of who I am as an artist, a father, and a man chasing something bigger.
I can’t tell you how much I wish I had more of those raw, unfiltered memories to hold onto — the parts you can’t replay once they’re gone.
That’s why I do what I do. At Beat The Odds Entertainment, I chase the real story. The unscripted energy, the emotions that sneak up on you, the joy that hits when you least expect it. Those are the moments that define us. And those are the moments I’ll never miss.
